Greetings,
On Saturday July 25, there will be an Infantry drill/ training day along with a meet and great for new and interested persons at Fort Monroe beginning at 0900. A company business meeting will also be held. The National Park Service at the Fort has granted us permission to hold a limited Company Drill and meeting with limited public contact.
The purpose of the drill to conduct Company Drill of the Soldier, Equipment, and Weapons inspection along with a meet and greet for interested persons.
This is an excellent opportunity for all those delinquent members to renew their membership and for those interested to establish theirs.
The uniform is standard kit with rifle (no powder) with a bandanna per Covid19 public meeting guild lines. The bandanna should be plan with no design and light weight. We will most likely remove our jackets due to the July heat so please wear a period correct shirt. Public contact will be handled by Company Officers. Bring a lunch or lunch at one of the local eateries.
Cold water and fruit will be provided by the company.

We have had little to no opportunities to conduct any faucets of our hobby this year. There are some events being planned for later in the year. We have some local events that will be presented at the meeting.
Our ranks have thinned out due to transfers and members retiring from reenactment. So if you interested in the 99th please come out and join the only dedicated union infantry reenactment organization in Hampton Roads.
